Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain logs for machine operation, maintenance, and gas usage.
• Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
• Clean machinery after each use and inspect for deficiencies.
• Perform routine golf-course maintenance activities.
• Follow guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual.
• Perform equipment operator tasks including trimming, edging, and raking.
• Wear safety equipment as required.
• Assist with special projects or other duties.

Job description

Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, TPC San Antonio is a private resort exclusively for Members and their guests. The resort offers 36 holes of championship golf, fine dining, a luxury spa, and a river water experience. The two 18‑hole courses were designed by Pete Dye and Greg Norman and have hosted PGA TOUR events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and operate golf‑course machinery.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machine.
• Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
• Clean machinery after each use and inspect all machines for deficiencies.
• Report deficiencies to the Equipment Technician.
• Perform routine golf‑course maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations or the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
• Be thoroughly trained for each task prior to performing it.
• Follow guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task.
• Perform specific equipment operator tasks, including line trim of trees, shrubs and posts; edge enforcement of cart paths, sprinkler heads, bunkers; ball‑mark repair; divot filling; sod laying; utility vehicle operations; blower operations; hand raking of bunkers; walk‑top dress equipment operation; backhoe operation; and miscellaneous hand‑tool operations.
• Wear personal protective clothing or use protective equipment to comply with established safety standards.
• Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

The job requires an active role under various outdoor weather conditions. The employee must lift, pull, or push up to or over 50 pounds and handle awkward weights. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations is essential.

Travel is not expected for this position.
