Job summary

JSL Technologies, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support Littoral Combat Ship Combat System hardware in-service engineering.

You will develop and review testing and installation procedures for shipboard installations and troubleshooting, and create technical papers for enhancements and proposals. The role requires experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco) and Linux/Windows servers, plus the ability to read drawings and reports.

Qualifications

• Experience with network hardware (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Cisco products).
• Experience with VMware and Windows/Linux servers.
• Ability to read/interp engineering drawings and schematics.
• Ability to write reports and develop technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, or review testing and installation procedures for shipboard installations or troubleshooting.
• Prepare white papers for technical enhancements and proposals.
• Capture customer feature requirements for modernization plans.
• Provide engineering support and shipboard/land-based installation services.
• Collaborate with Government teams to transition opportunities from production to sustainment.
