Job summary

Associates Systems LLC is seeking a Software Developer with Java-rich client and web application experience to design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems.

The role includes working with full stack .NET web development, strong core Java knowledge, and applying OO principles within a DoD‑related context. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience and a DoD 8570/5239 IAT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; 3–5 years software development experience.
• Must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE) or Level 3 (CASP or CISSP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems and/or application software.
• Work with Java rich client and web applications development.
• Collaborate on full stack .NET web development (SQL DB, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
• Apply OO principles and design patterns in software solutions.
• Participate in CM processes and configuration management for major projects.
• Use modern CM tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, Git/SVN) and build/release practices.
• Utilize Java tools (Maven, Eclipse) for development.
• Communicate effectively in team settings and with customers.

US Citizen in good Standing with an Active Dod Clearance or the ability to get one.

Software Developer with Java rich client and web application development experience, a strong core Java knowledge, and knowledge of full stack .NET web development. The selected candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide systems and/or application software.

Responsibilities

• Experience using Java/Java-script technologies (SWT, SWING, RCP, JSP, EJB)
• Experience with full stack .NET web development (SQL database; C# backend; JavaScript [jQuery]; HTML/CSS)
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Principles and concepts, and design patterns and their applications
• Knowledge of databases (MySQL/T-SQL, SQL-Server, SQL development and TOAD)
• Working knowledge of both rich client and web application development using current MVC frameworks
• Experience with software configuration management processes and performing Software CM functions on a major project/program
• Working knowledge of PC-based software tools for project tracking and collaboration tools, integration, build, and release of software, software configuration management and source control tools (ex. Azure DevOps, JIRA, GIT/SVN)
• Experience using Java development tools (ex. Maven, Eclipse, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and directly with customers
