Job summary

National Center for Defense Manufacturing & Machining (NCDMM) is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to lead and execute multiple DoD projects within defined scopes and budgets. You will develop statements of work, cost proposals, and project timelines while coordinating with customers, management, engineers, and technicians.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a B.S., an associate degree with 15 years relevant experience.
• Experience leading and managing project budgets and generating quality reports.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and DoD projects.
• Strong written and oral communication; able to tailor to audience.

• Coordinate and execute multiple technical projects within budget.
• Develop statements of work, cost proposals, and project timelines.
• Communicate with customers, management, engineers, and technicians.
• Travel up to 30%.
