Job summary

Serco Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Network Administrator to maintain and support DoD networks, systems, and applications. Work with a technical team to ensure secure, reliable network uptime and apply security-conscious configurations.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree, CompTIA A+ certification, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and up to 10% travel. You will install hardware and software, monitor performance, resolve issues, and document changes in the DoD environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree completed (required).
CompTIA A+ certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Ability to troubleshoot basic network, hardware, software and system issues.
Position is contingent upon contract award; up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

Set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks.
Maintain network, system, application, and security configurations.
Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Install and support network hardware, software, patches, and system updates.
Recommend upgrades, patches, applications, and equipment to improve reliability and performance.
Provide technical support and guidance to system users.
Assist with backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Document network configurations, system changes, troubleshooting activities, and procedures.
Support cybersecurity and DoD configuration-management requirements.
Coordinate with other technical personnel to resolve issues.
