Job summary

Artemis Consulting, LLC in Washington, DC, is seeking a mid-level financial management analyst/consultant to support the Department of the Navy and NAVWAR at the Washington Navy Yard. This full-time, onsite position involves providing high-quality accounting and financial management support to government clients.

The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, PPBE-focused budgeting, and proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
3-7 years of Navy/DoD financial management or relevant federal consulting experience.
Ability to obtain a SECRET government security clearance (TS/SCI may be required for select projects).

Responsibilities

Enter, maintain, and analyze financial data in government systems (e.g., Navy ERP, Standard Procurement System, and successor systems)
Assist with budget formulation, cost tracking, and variance analysis
Measure organizational performance and evaluate program or policy impacts on budget execution
Research financial and economic trends affecting funding and expenditures
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures governing budget formulation and maintenance
Manage multiple funding types and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Prepare and present financial budgets, reports, analyses, and executive-level summaries
Develop recommendations and courses of action (COAs) to address financial challenges
Interpret and apply financial management policies, regulations, and strategic objectives
