Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Security Analyst with a strong IA background to join our Charleston IT team. You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and help ensure CANES and STIG compliance for Navy-related projects.

This role requires DoD clearance eligibility, excellent communication, and teamwork across IT groups. The successful candidate will leverage JIRA for ticketing, contribute to security documentation, and support remediation

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a relevant technical field (Systems Analysis, systems support, test/evaluation).
• DoD Secret level clearance or ability to obtain one within a defined period.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute degree.
• Strong communication and ability to share technical knowledge with teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and respond to security events and incidents.
• Investigate incidents, assess severity, and determine impact.
• Create and monitor Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Use JIRA to create and track service tickets and actions.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend remediation.
• Document incidents and findings clearly for stakeholders.
• Identify vulnerabilities and ensure system compliance with security standards.
• Generate documentation and processes related to IT security.
• Review scan results for quality and actionable remediation steps.
• Support CANES baseline configurations for security reviews.
