Job summary

McBride is seeking a Configuration Manager to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Electronic Systems PEO (AFLCMC/ES) at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role involves overseeing CM activities across program artifacts, managing CM plans, and coordinating with CCBs and audits.

Qualifications include US citizenship, active Secret clearance, and a Bachelor's degree or 7 years of relevant DoD experience. DoD CM and release management experience are preferred; based at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA.

Qualifications

• CM experience within the DoD environment.
• Experience performing hardware and software configuration audits.
• Experience managing CM tools for inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media labeling.
• Experience producing release notes and CM reports.
• Understanding of the configuration change control process and the role of the CCB.
• Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environments.
• Experience developing briefings for management.
• Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Ability to enter and manipulate data in a database (lifecycle management process, Microsoft Access, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee CM activities for program artifacts, including identification, change control, and status accounting.
• Implement and manage CM plans to ensure design baseline integrity.
• Convene and support CCBs, document changes, and track Change Requests.
• Support assessments and maintain documentation for PCA and FCA audits.
• Track data deliverables, discrepancies, and problem reports.
• Collaborate with program management, systems engineers, and quality teams within an integrated product team.
• Provide guidance on CM plans for software, hardware, and IT systems.
• Maintain CM libraries and repositories, including licensing, packaging, and delivery.
• Audit IT system configurations and manage baselines, updates, and releases.
• Prepare for major reviews, audits, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
• Document findings, actions, and resolutions from assessments and reviews.
