Qualifications

• At least 3 years of general experience with 1+ year in configuration management, cybersecurity operations, or government/regulated environments.
• Experience implementing and remediating STIGs and supporting vulnerability management activities.
• Experience applying system patches, updates, and configuration changes in controlled environments.
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience working in Linux environments with command-line access.
• PowerShell or equivalent scripting to support system administration.
• Experience supporting systems operating under an Authority to Operate (ATO) framework.
• Active Secret clearance at time of hire; DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II requirements.
• Must be local to the DMV area and commutable to Pax River, DC.

Responsibilities

• Execute and maintain secure configuration baselines across supported systems per DoD/government standards.
• Implement, validate, and remediate STIG findings to maintain compliance.
• Perform system hardening across cloud and Linux environments.
• Monitor security posture, availability, and compliance daily.
• Apply patches and updates to maintain current configurations.
• Support vulnerability remediation and track resolution.
• Assist deployments of Fortress SaaS solutions in controlled environments.
• Maintain ATO posture with required documentation and control validation.
• Submit change documentation and DADMs requests for software/config updates.
• Support audits with technical artifacts and status reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate configuration records and traceability.
