Job summary

MicroTech seeks a Trusted Thin Client Software Application Integration Support II for the CAOC at Shaw AFB in SC. The role requires supporting day-to-day IT operations, maintaining systems, and integrating new capabilities for government missions.

Responsibilities include design, testing, and integration of software, maintaining various tech stacks, and ensuring security patches and QA are completed. A Secret clearance is required to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Computer Engineering or related field, and 8 years' software development/engineering experience; or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Computer Engineering or related field, 12 years' software development/engineering experience; or 14 years' experience software development engineering experience, and 3 years' software development experience (i.e. C#, Java, C/C++, etc.)
• DoD 8140 DCWF 411, Security+ or advanced Level
• Citrix Certified Expert-Virtualization (CCE-V) or equivalent certification
• Active Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support
• Design, write, modify and implement software programs/applications
• Support and install software applications/operating systems
• Test, review, and certify software
• Integrate legacy COT/GOTS applications onto virtualized platform
• Maintain un-compiled software (e.g., C++, .NET, JAVA, PYTHON)
• Develop glue‑ware to support client applications and security patches
• Provide integration support and update system architectures, software and networks
• Plan and integrate new operational capabilities and client applications
• Integrate new applications within defined timeframes (urgent and routine)
• Port and adapt system onto new hardware
• Perform security vulnerability assessments and enhancements
• Update documents after integration changes
• Perform QA testing on configuration changes
• Develop and submit Monthly Software Engineering Status Report
