Job summary

Competitive Range Solutions, LLC in Maryland seeks an experienced Cable Technician to support DoD environments, perform urgent break-fixes, and install/maintain cabling for DoD devices in VIP quarters. You will collaborate with a government multi-contractor team and ensure compliance with DoD standards.

Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance, have 3+ years in DoD cabling, and be proficient with hand tools and cabling equipment, with strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• 3+ years' experience with cabling and break fixes in DoD.
• Prior experience as a Cable Technician supporting DoD.
• Proficiency with hand tools and cable installation equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and repair abilities.

Responsibilities

• Actively respond to and manage urgent break-fixes and high-priority requirements to meet mission needs.
• Perform cabling for DoD devices located in VIP/GO quarters.
• Assist in installing structured cabling systems including copper and fiber optics under supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on cabling systems in compliance with DoD standards.
• Support compliance testing and documentation efforts for all installations per DoD STIGs.
• Collaborate with Network Infrastructure and Support team members for cohesive problem resolution.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation for cabling system installation, maintenance, and compliance.
