The role requires a Secret clearance and at least four years of DoD budgeting experience, plus strong Microsoft Office skills to provide data-driven recommendations and ensure compliance with fiscal laws while working on-site at a military installation.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance.
• Minimum four (4) years of specialized experience in Department of Defense budget planning, budget formulation, or related budget management fields.
• Experience working with military organizations, concepts, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Be familiar with current military concepts and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual and multi-year spending plans.
• Monitor budget execution and spending rates.
• Prepare budget exhibits using prescribed Department of Defense templates.
• Analyze financial data and present recommendations to leadership.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc budget reports.
• Compile data from Department of Defense financial systems and databases.
