Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a backend/platform engineering team for Documents Platform.
• Define the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for document platform.
• Build scalable APIs and backend services for internal, AI, and external use.
• Evolve document infrastructure into a generalized platform across Rippling.
• Own complex decisions on distributed systems, data models, and APIs.
• Stay deeply involved in design while enabling engineers to execute.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape platform needs.
• Establish abstractions and interfaces enabling fast team delivery.
• Design for long-term scale, reliability, and developer experience.
• Hire, coach, and raise the bar for technical quality.
