Telework Notice: Telework is available for applicants residing in Minnesota or a bordering state with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, this position provides advanced administrative support to Minnesota Health Care Programs’ (MHCP) Member and Provider Services (MPS) Division. The incumbent monitors and processes a variety of work items with the electronic document management system (EDMS), managing the intake, triage, flow, and processing of paper and electronic documents for large‑scale program enrollment operations.

Key tasks include operating the automated documents imaging system and associated software, maintaining processes as technology evolves, and managing scanning equipment and software. The individual ensures the ongoing flow and processing of documents moving in and out of the division, working in partnership with another staff member and a team lead who perform similar work.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills: clearly convey information, data, and perspectives neutrally.
  • Experience with computerized inventory control systems: access and compile data, monitor print‑outs, and generate reports.
  • Customer service skills: handle complaints professionally.
  • Database, documents, and records management: prepare basic technical documents and reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing high‑volume document intake, scanning, indexing, retrieval, routing, and electronic document management systems (e.g., EDMS/FileNET).
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/health care provider systems, provider enrollment terminology, coding structures for Medicaid providers, and familiarity with systems such as MMIS.
  • Strong organization and time‑management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability to changing work environment and policies.
  • Experience working effectively with others from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
