Job summary

Wellspring Philanthropic Fund seeks an Associate to join the Perspective Fund (PF) team in New York. The PF Associate will support strategic planning, grantmaking, portfolio management and PF strategy implementation under supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating campaigns, engaging grantees, and communicating PF impact to donors and staff, with travel to events as needed. The role emphasizes social justice through documentary work and learning.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in impact/outreach campaigns for documentaries for social change.
• Strong understanding of all phases of film production, finance, distribution and impact.
• Editorial and strategic support experience is preferred.
• Excellent English-language writing and editing skills.
• Familiarity with human rights and social justice issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program/impact and outreach campaigns for documentaries.
• Provide feedback on film cuts and audience engagement strategies.
• Prepare internal grant recommendations and reports on PF strategy progress.
• Organize events, grantee convenings, and field partnerships.
• Support grantmaking, due diligence, and grantee relationship management.
• Assist with planning, travel, meetings, and consultant contracts.
• Educate donors and public audiences on documentary and social change issues.
