Job description

Document Control Clerk is responsible for reviewing, managing, and organizing company documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. This role supports various departments by ensuring that documents are properly filed, updated, and accessible when needed.

JOB DUTIES
  • Perform Job Order reviews for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Maintain, track, file, and scan Job Orders and other controlled documents, including physical and electronic records.
  • Maintain onsite and offsite document storage, retrieval, and destruction.
  • Support interdepartmental Document Control requests.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, pulling, pushing, and/or lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Ensure day‑to‑day activities and time management align with department goals.
  • Ensure all quality aspects of this position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Highly organized, detailed, and able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and experience writing procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1‑2 years experience in an FDA‑regulated or certified quality system environment within a Document Control or mid‑level Quality Assurance position; documented training in GMPs or industry quality system standards or equivalent work experience.

Uses critical thinking skills to create original documents, reports and spreadsheets and interpret information furnished in written, oral or schedule form; able to set goals based on available information, plan work to meet deadlines, resourcefully solve problems, formulate appropriate responses to requests for services and information from internal or external customers, and project likely future occurrences based on current or historic data.
