American Packaging Corporation is seeking a production associate for our Chili, NY facility. The role involves identifying defective material, assembling finished rolls, and palletizing products for shipment.
You will mount rolls, adjust machines, read specs, and ensure packaging materials meet requirements. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, reading/comprehension of safety rules, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Location: Chili, NY
Schedule: 7pm – 7am on a 2-2-3 schedule
Identifies and segregates defective material within individual slit rolls. Combines leftover good material into finished rolls and palletizes for shipment to the customer.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Dr Winder experience a plus.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; understand rates, ratios, and percentages; and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions. Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. May require lifting up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
