Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Dockworker in Massachusetts to safely load and unload freight, verify documentation, and support warehousing operations.

Prior forklift experience is preferred and a strong emphasis on safety and customer service will guide daily tasks. The role involves operating equipment, coordinating with drivers, and maintaining accurate shipment records, with a typical 2:00 PM start and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow safety rules.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Pick, stage, and secure freight inside trailers for safe transport.
• Use document management systems to track freight locations throughout the terminal.
• Communicate with terminal personnel and drivers.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.

Dockworker Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment, preferred
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively

Dockworker Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment - forklift or electric pallet jack
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work
• Operating with a customer service first mentality
