Job summary

A. Duie Pyle in Baltimore, MD is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to safely move freight on and off trailers and verify related documentation using electronic and manual systems.

Prior forklift experience is preferred and will be considered in scheduling and advancement. Dockworker duties include loading and unloading freight with a forklift or electric pallet jack, picking, staging, and securing cargo inside trailers, and using the terminal’s document management system to track shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment, preferred
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.
