Job summary

ArcBest's ABF Freight division is seeking Dock Workers in the St. Louis area to load/unload trailers, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and complete required paperwork. This hourly, union-backed position offers overtime after 8 hours and comprehensive health benefits through the Teamsters agreement.

Shifts vary by location, including days, nights and weekends. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening and meet medical requirements; High School Diploma or GED is required.

Job Description

Dock Workers are responsible for loading and unloading trailers for the purpose of transporting a wide variety of cargo, moving cargo, driving a forklift, or using a pallet jack or other freight for transit. Effectively and efficiently operating mobile technology and completing all required paperwork. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

• Complete all required paperwork.
• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma / GED, required

Additional Requirements:

• Be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and meet medical requirements.
• Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends. Being able to work the required hours at this location will be considered a minimum requirement.

• Make more money! Wages are Teamster Union Scale which are greater than most other carriers! Hourly employees also receive overtime pay after 8 hours/day.
• All Union Employees receive health and welfare benefits with no employee paid premiums.
• Each employee receives 7 days of sick leave each January 1st. With the amount of personal days, sick leave and paid holidays, an employee may qualify for up to 3 weeks of paid days off without using vacation.
