Saia Inc. is hiring for multiple full- and part-time roles. The position involves sorting, loading, and unloading freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, and trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks. You’ll follow safety rules and documentation procedures to ensure secure, compliant shipments.

Candidates should be at least 18, have a HS diploma or GED, and be authorized to work in the U.S. English literacy is required for shipping documents.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and comprehend English for shipping documents and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks per regulations.
• Operate dock tools and maintain straps, bars, air bags, and dunnage.
• Load, recoup, rewrap, and stack freight as needed.
• Verify shipments by reading labels and securing freight.
• Follow bill of lading and QC procedures for timely, cost-efficient shipments.
• Log shortages and damages, and report issues promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
