Job summary

RXO is seeking a dependable Dockworker to join our logistics team. You will load and unload freight, sort items, inspect for damage, and help keep the dock safe and organized.

You’ll work with pallets, forklifts, and pallet jacks, coordinating with dispatch and drivers to ensure timely shipments. We value accuracy, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1–2 years dock/warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from trailers using manual and powered equipment.
• Sort and organize freight in the dock area by destination or priority.
• Inspect freight for damage, verify labeling and documentation, report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock environment.
• Ensure proper handling and freight securement to prevent transit damage.
• Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse staff to ensure timely shipments.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

As a Dockworker, you'll play a vital role in our daily operations by efficiently loading, unloading and organizing freight. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Load and unload freight from trailers using manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
• Sort and organize freight in the dock area according to destination or shipment priority
• Inspect freight for damage, verify labeling and documentation and report any discrepancies
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized and safe dock environment
• Ensure proper handling and securement of freight to prevent damage during transit
• Communicate with dispatchers, drivers and warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of shipments
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures during operations

At a minimum, you'll need:

• The ability to maintain a valid driver's license

It'd be great if you also have:

• Good communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
• 1-2 years of dock or warehouse experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus)
