Job summary

John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is seeking a Dockman for our Fourchon facility. You will load and discharge liquid cargo, perform bunkering operations, and complete paperwork promptly while maintaining logs and equipment.

This on-site role at Fourchon, LA follows a 14-day schedule (7 nights / 7 days) with sleeping accommodations provided. A valid TWIC, driver’s license, and basic computer skills are required, along with twelve months of heavy manual labor experience recommended.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• TWIC required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• At least six months of heavy manual-labor work experience.
• Fuel or oilfield experience a plus.
• Crane and forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and discharge liquid cargo to and from docks, vessels, trucks, tote tanks, and shore tanks.
• Perform tankering/bunkering operations.
• Complete and submit paperwork, including sales tickets, daily reports, in a timely manner.
• Offload trash and used oil filters from vessels.
• Update job logs on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility.
• Operate a forklift.
• Maintain equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems.
• Complete sale tickets along with other necessary paperwork
• Track inventory.
• Repackage inventory.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Adhere to and comply with company and safety policies, United States Coast Guard Regulations, and environmental laws and regulations.
• Other duties as needed by management.

Position: Dockman Fourchon

Reports To: Facility Manager

Worksite: Dockside Facility in Fourchon, Louisiana (on-site sleeping accommodations are available).

• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Basic Computer Skills.
• At Least Six Months of Heavy Manual-Labor Work Experience.
• Fuel or oilfied experience a plus
