Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Dock Worker in Appleton, WI. The role involves lifting cartons, palletizing with a motorized jack, scanning items, and packing orders using a voice-pick system. Training is provided with no prior experience required.

The position runs 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) with base pay starting at $18/hour and a $1/hour second shift differential. Additional incentive potential may apply based on performance. Overtime is possible as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move full cartons from conveyors to pallets.
• Count and record information on boxes.
• Move pallets with a motorized standup jack.
• Operate a shrink wrap machine.
• Use headset and handheld scanner for order accuracy.
• Load UPS Ground Parcels into trailers.
• Check packed cartons and report errors.
• Crosscheck production paperwork.
• Restock shelves and perform basic data entry.
• Pick and pack orders using voice-pick system.
• Cross-train to assist in other areas.

Job description

Starting Rate: $18/hour, plus $1/hour 2nd shift differential. Earn additional $1-$3/hour beyond the base wage for meeting or exceeding goals with our performance based incentive program!

Base Hours: 2nd shift, evenings, 3pm-11pm, overtime as needed

As our Dock Worker you will:

• Lift and move full cartons from conveyor lines and place on pallets
• Count and write information on boxes
• Move completed pallets using a motorized standup jack
• Use a shrink wrap machine
• Use a head set and hand scanner
• Load UPS Ground Parcels into trailer
• Check packed cartons and communicate errors
• Crosscheck production paperwork
• Restock shelves with product and complete basic data entry
• Hand pick and pack orders using a voice pick system
• Will cross train to assist in other areas

What you bring to the position:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds continuously during your shift
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of your shift
