Job summary

Saia is seeking a Dock Operations Supervisor to oversee terminal activities, including sorting, loading, and unloading freight at our Fresno terminal. You will manage daily dockworker activities and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.

This role requires strong DOT knowledge, supervisory experience, and a commitment to safety. You’ll train staff, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in terminal efficiency and service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of warehouse/dock or freight experience preferred.
• DOT safety knowledge; forklift certification or hazmat training encouraged.
• Ability to read/write English and complete shipping documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dock operations and ensure safe, efficient work.
• Direct and evaluate dockworkers on equipment use and procedures.
• Perform daily inspections to meet DOT and company policies.
• Train staff on safety, performance, customer service, and equipment.
• Review reports and recommend improvements to terminal efficiency.
• Promote a clean, safe dock environment.
