Qualifications

• Proven successful warehouse, cross-dock, or related experience.
• Proven successful supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and safety policies.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Warehouse environment with varying conditions; physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Display a positive attitude and provide courteous, friendly service to all internal team members and external clients by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Lanter Delivery Systems Non-Negotiables and apply the concepts daily.
• Coordinate a team of dock associates, ensuring procedures and policies are followed; provide feedback to encourage performance.
• Assist with hiring, training, and development of all freight handlers; provide tools/resources needed to be successful.
• Work directly with customers to manage accounts and ensure on-time, error-free deliveries.
• Ensure safe and efficient loading/unloading of all freight; identify and rectify unsafe practices.
• Assist in unloading and loading as needed to support the team.
• Safeguard cross-dock operations by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and save costs.
• Address conflicts by facilitating issue resolution and notifying management as needed.
• Manage daily end-of-shift reports and performance updates.
