Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Dock Master to oversee the Loading Dock operations, access control, and coordination of deliveries for residents and office use. This role ensures secure building access for contractors and vendors and maintains dock area cleanliness and organization.

The position requires strong customer service, communication and time management skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred. College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
• Must be computer literate. Two (2) years general building/community security experience is strongly preferred. Strong customer service, communication, time management and interpersonal skills required. Effective verbal and written communication skills required.

Job Overview

The Dock Master will be responsible for the facilitation and maintenance of the Loading Dock. This position will also be responsible for managing building access for all contractors and vendors who need to enter the building to perform a service.

Your Responsibilities

• Building access facilitation for contractors and vendors
• Management of the parking in loading dock area for control and facilitation of delivery and contractor vehicles.
• Cleaning and maintenance of the dock floor area
• Management of the loading dock building doors for operational hours
• Coordination and management of delivery schedules for the dock office for residential and office use
• Management of the dock office to include computer and janitorial service
• Facilitation of the Master Association business at the dock

Skills - Qualifications

• Education/Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred. College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
• Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Must be computer literate. Two (2) years general building/community security experience is strongly preferred. Strong customer service, communication, time management and interpersonal skills required. Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
