Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking a dock associate for on-site work in South San Francisco, CA. You will help unload donated merchandise, support forklift operators, and keep the dock area clean and safe while adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to be trained and take direction.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading merchandise, minimizing damage to donated materials.
• Support forklift operators and ensure dock area is clean and accessible.
• Sweep warehouse and load/unload trucks using proper equipment.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE; report hazards or incidents.
• Maintain regular attendance and contribute to a positive team environment.

100 Utah Ave South San Francisco California, 94080,Pay Range Minimum$18.15Position Description:Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the dock, including cleaning and providing assistance to the Forklift Operators of Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Efficiently and accurately assists with the unloading of merchandise, minimizing damage to donated materials.Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property.Assists Forklift operators, as required.Monitors dock and ensures all Gaylords are folded down and area is clean and accessible for Forklift Operators.Sweeps and cleans warehouse.Properly uses equipment to load and unload trucks.Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
