Job summary

Dayton Freight is seeking a Dock Worker to load and unload freight safely and efficiently at our facility in Calhoun, GA. This role emphasizes productive handling, space optimization, and a claims-free record.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, document freight controls, participate in training, and adapt to irregular shifts. We offer competitive pay starting at $23.95/hour, plus a 401(k) plan with company match and modern equipment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to pass a drug screen.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner.
• Maximize space when loading freight.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment.
• Properly document all freight control processes.
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs.
• Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments.
• Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
