Job summary

Atlanta Fork Lifts Incorporated is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repair support for conveyor and loading dock equipment at customer sites, ensuring safe operation and ANSI compliance. You will install, repair, and maintain loading dock gear, conveyors, pumps, and related controls.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, a High School Diploma or GED, ability to pass a DOT physical, a valid driving record, and training to operate scissor lifts and forklifts.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical.
  • Must have a valid driving record and be able to operate service vehicles and equipment.
  • Able to operate scissor lifts and forklifts (training and certification provided).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally more).
  • Some electrical knowledge; experience with PLCs and controls devices is a plus.
  • Welding (preferably certified); commercial door experience; dock equipment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and install all types of loading dock equipment and accessories.
  • Service and repair broken, worn or damaged conveyor, loading dock equipment and accessories.
  • Document and communicate necessary additional repairs or safety concerns relating to loading dock and conveyor equipment.
  • Installation and repair of warehouse products, storage racking, stretch wrap machines, conveyor, etc.
  • Maintenance and repair of commercial compactors and balers.
  • Repair and maintenance of related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Job description

Overview

This technical role will combine the skills necessary to efficiently perform service and repair support for our customer base on conveyor systems and loading dock equipment. Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of equipment such as conveyors, drive components, pumps, control devices, loading equipment and overhead doors. Ensure that our customers are safe and in compliance with ANSI Regulations as they relate to safety within our scope.

Work Conditions/Physical Demands

Must have the physical stamina to perform continuous full-body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting and related activities. Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals or solvents requiring proper safety procedures. Work is performed at customer locations, including manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and cold storage environments, and in other sometimes difficult or outdoor environments.
