Position Overview:

The Department seeks a dedicated individual for the correctional center’s dietary services. The candidate will monitor dietary workers, review policies for compliance, and maintain inventory records. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply.

Essential Functions
  1. Monitor individuals in custody during food preparation and service, and maintain equipment up to 50 lbs.
  2. Oversee sanitation procedures for kitchen equipment and facilities.
  3. Inspect food before, during, and after cooking to ensure compliance with recipes and menus.
  4. Maintain inventory and records of food items and expiration dates.
  5. Supervise daily activities, ensuring proper issuance and accounting of supplies and tools.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in large-scale food preparation.
  • Current Food Service Sanitation Certificate or Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification.
  • Qualifying state employees in the Upward Mobility Program may substitute proficiency tests and training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least three years of experience in access control, space, inventory management, or related areas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with supply ordering, invoice processing, and materials distribution.
  • Knowledge of professional accounting, auditing, or inventory procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP platform.
Conditions of Employment
  • Complete orientation training within six months.
  • Pass background check and drug screening.
  • Abide by vaccine and medical standards as required.
Work Details

Hours: 4:00 am - 12:00 pm, Thursday-Monday, off Tuesday and Wednesday
