Plymouth State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Assistant Professor of Practice in Digital Music Production & Entrepreneurship (DMPE), beginning Spring or Fall 2027. The successful candidate will teach contemporary music and audio production, advise students, support program development, and coordinate public-facing projects.

Qualifications

• MFA or equivalent terminal degree in music-related discipline.
• Knowledge of contemporary digital music and audio production, including recording, mixing, live audio and sound design.
• Ability to teach and mentor students in applied, project-based production settings.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, industry partners, and other university programs.

Responsabilités

• Teach 15–16 credit hours per semester in Digital Music Production & Entrepreneurship.
• Advise and mentor up to 30 undergraduate students in DMPE and SILA.
• Design and supervise applied projects developing technical, creative, collaborative, and professional skills.
