Responsibilities include enforcing policies, patrolling, detaining if needed, assisting with drills, first aid and CPR as appropriate, and coordinating with local police or EMS.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and DJCS certification or equivalent.
• Ability to patrol, observe, report, and respond to incidents.
• Strength to detain individuals when necessary and coordinate with authorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students, staff and visitors with high visibility in hallways, parking lots and common areas.
• Enforce policies, escort unauthorized persons, and detain for police assistance as needed.
• Conduct inspections, conduct metal detector screening, and complete incident reports.
• Provide first aid/CPR when required and cooperate with police, fire and EMS.
• Support drills (fire, lockdown, tornado) and testimony when required.
