Job summary

The Guitar Center Company is seeking a Music Teacher in Seattle to deliver lessons using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum and help grow our student base. You will nurture a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect while guiding students to enjoy playing music and progress in their skills.

Applicants should have experience in music or education, and be capable of teaching instruments like drums, guitar, or keyboard.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field.
• Ability to teach the instrument they are proficient in (e.g., Drums, Guitar, Keyboard).
• Demonstrated competency and proficiency in teaching music.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
• Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
• Assist with Customer service as needed to build long-term students and a great experience.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Foster customer partnerships with students and families through regular communication.

Pay Rate: $17.13/hr - $21.65/hr Non-Teaching Rate and up to $28.83/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

As a Music Teacher, you will impact:

Store Culture & Excellence:

• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based off the needs of the community

Student & Parent Partnership:

• Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child's Music Teacher


• Communicate with students and/or parents of students on progress of each student


• Share students and/or parents’ goals and progress frequently

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field


• Ability to teach the instrument that they are proficient in such as Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.


• Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching
