Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson for our Des Moines store. The role supports the DIY business, assists customers in-person and by phone, and performs basic parts sourcing and inventory duties. The position can be part-time or full-time depending on store needs.

Responsibilities include battery installation, wiper installations, basic diagnostic support, and maintaining store standards. Ability to work weekends and varying shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus; communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and management.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Deliver parts safely to customers as needed.
