Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Salesperson for an entry‑level role supporting DIY customers and store operations in Waynesboro, VA. You will handle in‑store and phone inquiries, assist with basic automotive parts knowledge, and perform tasks to meet sales goals.

The role requires good customer service, familiarity with store systems, and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends. Training is provided, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible to work days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
• Operate inventory systems and store equipment.
• Operate POS and Parts lookup systems.
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
