Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to join our team. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, parts lookup, inventory management, and advanced automotive system knowledge to assist DIY customers in person and by phone.

The position emphasizes accurate parts identification, troubleshooting, and project support, with opportunities to source from multiple channels and to grow into advanced sales and service tasks. ASE certification is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license; ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret parts catalogs and maintenance manuals; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away and cycle counts.
