About Lurie Children’s Hospital

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital is the largest pediatric specialty hospital in the region and is nationally ranked among the top children’s hospitals in the country.

The Opportunity

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seek a Division Head of Neuroradiology to lead a growing, high‑impact academic program within one of the nation’s premier pediatric health systems.

The Division Head will provide strategic and operational leadership across clinical care, research, and education, including oversight of clinical operations, faculty recruitment and development, research direction, fellowship training, and program growth. The role focuses on strengthening partnerships across neuroscience service lines, integrating neuroradiology into complex care pathways, and expanding advanced imaging capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across clinical care, research, and education.
• Oversee clinical operations, faculty recruitment and development, research direction, and fellowship training.
• Partner with administrative and clinical leaders to drive program growth, financial performance, access, and innovation.
• Expand advanced imaging capabilities, enhance multidisciplinary collaboration, and strengthen partnerships across epilepsy, neuro‑oncology, and neurovascular programs.
• Integrate neuroradiology into complex care pathways and translational research efforts.

The Division

The Division of Neuroradiology provides comprehensive, state‑of‑the‑art imaging for pediatric neurologic conditions using advanced technologies such as MRI, CT, and functional imaging. The division includes a collaborative team of seven pediatric neuroradiologists who work closely with multidisciplinary programs and a dedicated 3D imaging lab.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an accomplished academic pediatric neuroradiologist with a demonstrated record of clinical excellence, scholarly achievement, and progressive leadership within a complex academic medical center.

Education and Certifications

• MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree or equivalent with a track record of leadership roles in an academic institution.
• American Board of Radiology Certification required.
• Neuroradiology or pediatric neuroradiology fellowship training or an equivalent imaging fellowship.
• Must have or be able to obtain an unrestricted Illinois medical license and an academic appointment of Associate Professor or higher.
• Must be eligible for Medical Board appointment.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range $470,236–$621,700, commensurate with experience and academic rank. Lurie Children’s offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time off.
