The Division Chief will lead the development of clinical programs, workflows, and infrastructure; recruit additional pediatric pulmonologists; and mentor faculty while advancing research and education in pediatric pulmonology.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required and eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship.
• Board certification in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• Credentials meriting an Associate Professor or Professor faculty appointment.
• Demonstrate ongoing research achievement, community engagement, and educational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, innovative, and operational leadership to build a Pulmonology Division within the Department of Pediatrics.
• Recruit one additional pediatric pulmonologist to support continued growth.
• Be responsible for clinical and academic performance as the division matures, including faculty mentorship.
• Develop a vision for expanding clinical services, educational programs, and research initiatives.
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and foster faculty development.
