Job summary

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is recruiting Diversion Investigators nationwide. The role enforces the CSA and CDTA to prevent diversion of pharmaceuticals and listed chemicals, ensuring uninterrupted supply for legitimate use.

The incumbent will lead investigations, gather evidence, interview, and report findings; coordinate with federal, state, and local partners. Positions involve complex regulatory work, training, and potential relocation to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• GS-07 requires 1 year of specialized experience or education as described.
• GS-09 requires 1 year of specialized experience or master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
• GS-11 requires 1 year of specialized experience at GS-11 level equivalents or higher education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to ensure CSA/CDTA compliance in pharmaceutical and listed chemical industries.
• Collect, analyze information, interview, prepare reports, and present findings for actions.
• Research and prepare written materials to support proceedings and respond to inquiries.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Federal, State, and Local agencies for information exchange.
• Plan and participate in multi-jurisdictional programs evaluating violations and outcomes.
