It is a full-time or rotational position requiring high safety standards. The Diver 3 must have professional diving training, extensive underwater experience, and be able to pass rigorous testing and physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional diving school.
• A minimum of two years of actual underwater work experience.
• Ability to pass the written Diver 3 test with a score of at least 80%.
• Demonstrated diving ability and preferably 50 or more working dives.
• Demonstrated ability to plan dive operations requiring decompression and repetitive dives.
• Demonstrated knowledge of normal decompression and treatment tables.
• AT least 1 year of service with Phoenix and documented 100 days minimum field experience on diving jobs.
• Ability to pass annual diving physical. Significant physical effort required.
• Willingness to accept exposure to physical risk.
• U.S. Government security clearance desired.
• Possession of a current Passport, ADCI Card, and TWIC Card.
• Ability and willingness to travel worldwide, on short notice for indefinite periods of time.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes tasks assigned by the Diving Supervisor.
• Reads, understands, and complies with all Phoenix policies and regulations for diving operations.
• Maintains diving equipment and tests before each dive.
• Keeps a logbook detailing dives, medicals, courses, and equipment maintenance.
• Keeps medical certificates up-to-date and available for review.
• Reports to the Diving Supervisor any medical issues or gear defects.
• Assists in training of new personnel or tenders.
• Remains near the decompression chamber after certain treatments as required.
