Job summary

Diventures in Ashburn, VA seeks a Dive Professional (Scuba Instructor) to lead students through SSI education with safety and customer experience at the forefront. You will guide learners through knowledge, skills, equipment, and experience while representing the Diventures experience.

Ideal candidates are engaging teachers who value safety, communicate clearly, and enjoy helping others become confident divers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach scuba safely and effectively.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance with standards.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with store teams and instructors.

Responsibilities

• Teach safe scuba while following SSI, industry, and Diventures standards.
• Create a positive, engaging, and comfortable learning environment for students.
• Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their diving goals.
• Help students understand the value of continuing education, dive experiences, travel, and owning their own dive system.
• Promote local, national, and international dive opportunities.
• Ensure all required paperwork and forms are completed accurately before class.
• Arrive early and be prepared for classes, with classrooms and equipment ready for students.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool, classroom, rental, and training environment.
• Partner with teammates across scuba, retail, swim, service, and travel for a seamless experience.
• Stay current with certifications, dues, industry standards, training methods, and Diventures offerings.
