Scottsdale USD 48 is seeking a Security Officer to patrol campuses and events, protect students and staff, and ensure safety. The role involves monitoring access, reporting incidents, and working with administrators and law enforcement as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some criminal justice exposure, and at least one year of related experience. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with physical requirements for field duties.

Formación

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• College classes in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Experience working with youth and public preferred.
• One year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the duties.

Responsabilidades

• Provide highly visible security presence at campuses by foot, vehicle, or bicycle.
• Monitor student behavior and assist in student control as needed.
• Check passes/IDs and operate two-way radio for coordination with staff.
• Monitor security systems and prepare incident referrals and reports.
• Escort students and monitor entrances/exits; secure doors and gates after hours.
