West Memphis School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is district-wide in West Memphis, Arkansas, with a 190-day contract and benefits as specified in the employee contract.

Serving in the Director of Special Education's team, the SLP will assess and treat students in a school setting. Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapy one-on-one or in small groups, collaborating with teachers

Qualifications

Must hold a valid certificate and necessary credentials for a State approved Speech Pathologist and a Masters Degree.
Must display excellent communication skills.
Have knowledge of current research, changes, and trends in Speech Pathology
Must display excellent people skills.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
Deliver therapy one-on-one or in small groups and monitor progress.
Collaborate with teachers, other school staff, and parents to meet student needs.
Maintain detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, progress reports and confidentiality.
Attend IEP meetings and contribute to goals for students.
Keep up-to-date with research and professional development in the field.
