Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

• 2+ years of experience teaching in educational environments.
• Pre-employment clearances: PA Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver customized lesson plans that address each student's specific IEP goals.
• Tailor teaching strategies to meet the diverse academic needs of students with a range of learning difficulties.
• Work with small groups or individuals, adjusting instruction based on students’ abilities and progress.
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to create and implement effective IEPs for each student.
• Ensure IEPs are followed and updated consistently based on ongoing assessments and student needs.
• Regularly monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching approaches.
• Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
• Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Build positive relationships with families by providing regular updates on student progress and home strategies.
