Job summary

Waterville Public Schools is seeking dependable van drivers to support our district-wide transportation needs, transporting students on designated routes and ensuring timely, safe arrivals.

This as-needed position emphasizes safety, reliability, and respectful treatment of students; candidates must meet state and district requirements and pass DOT, background checks, and fingerprinting as required.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and BMV- required check of driving history.
• Be able to pass a state of Maine DOE criminal history record check with fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Obeys all state and local traffic laws.
• Observes all mandatory safety regulations for vans.
• Discharges students only at authorized stops.
• Transports only authorized students.
• Treats students with due respect and understanding.
• Adheres to all Waterville Board of Education policies.
