Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; preferred.
• ServSafe Manager Certification or City of Amarillo Food Manager Certification to be obtained within time.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, students, parents and community groups.
• Must be a team player and able to work with others.
• Knowledge and use of commercial food service equipment; ability to read labels and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals for students and adults per recipes and menus.
• Operate MS Windows and basic Office applications as needed.
• Supervise food service staff: schedules, training, performance, and discipline as required.
• Order food and supplies; ensure proper storage and usage.
• Maintain food quality, safety, and compliance with meal requirements.
