Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a part-time District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to join our pharmacy teams. You will cover pharmacist shifts across the district, support scheduling, and help manage patient care with a focus on safe dispensing and immunizations.

You will travel within a reasonable radius, oversee pharmacy operations, mentor technicians, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering compassionate service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) is required.
• Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.

Responsibilities

• Living CVS Health values by ensuring safe dispensing, counseling, and immunization practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts and cover scheduling gaps.
• Support safe, accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s duties when on duty as the primary pharmacist.
• Coach the team to deliver compassionate care and address insurance/medication issues.
• Deliver immunizations and support technicians to learn immunization.
• Maintain inventory with focus on cold chain and best practices.
