Job summary

Chapel Hill Independent School District Central Office - Mount Pleasant, Texas is seeking a Chief of Police to establish and administer security regulations, supervise a certified police force, and coordinate with outside law enforcement agencies. This executive role reports to the Superintendent and requires TEC training and a Texas Peace Officer license.

The role focuses on protecting students and staff, enforcing laws, managing the police department budget, and leading safety programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Texas Peace Officer license (TCOLE) required.
• TEC §96.641 & TEC §1701.2633 training completion required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the district police department.
• Coordinate enforcement with outside agencies and campus principals.
• Investigate complaints and supervise district police staff.
• Manage department budget and personnel; supervise hiring and dismissal.
• Maintain records, affidavits, and incident reports; ensure safety protocols.
