Albertsons Companies is seeking a proactive leader to oversee department merchandising in assigned stores. You will train and coach store teams, collaborate with Department Managers and Store Directors, and ensure plan execution aligns with sales and profit targets.

The role requires hands-on merchandising leadership, visiting stores, evaluating presentation and compliance, and driving training to improve performance and customer experience across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned stores with the Department Manager and staff to implement merchandising plans.

• Measure store performance through department sales, gross profit and labor percent.
• Execute plans based on store visits and plan reviews.
• Assess training program effectiveness and provide input on performance.
• Provide work guidance to store associates on product knowledge, sales and marketing techniques; ensure policy compliance.
• Train department managers on basic business operations and department management.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Monitors, enforces, and supports execution of the division merchandising plan for their department in assigned stores. Train, coach, oversee and develop store teams within department.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Travels to assigned stores working with the Department Manager and staff to share merchandising plans for departments to meet sales, gross and labor targets.

Works with and counsels department Managers and Store Directors in all aspects of product merchandising and customer service.

Visits stores and evaluates on overall department presentation, cleanliness, compliance and program execution to company policy and procedures.

Measurers store level performance through department sales, gross profit and labor percent.

Executes plans measured through store visits, reviewing results of plans, and observing store department conditions.

Determines success of training programs by reviewing and assessing evaluations.

Provide work guidance to store associates in areas such as product knowledge, sales and marketing techniques, understanding of profit and loss and compliance with company policies.

Trains department managers basics of the business and managing their department.

Provides input to Store Director on Store Department Manager performance.
